Momo

also Known as local beer is very popular among the Nepalese people. But the travelers who visited these places are always attracted to it. These local beers are not readily available everywhere, but only in some special restaurants. In villages you will found it in every house. Farmers after working day long in the field drink this Tongba at night to resist their tiredness. Known to be 100% free alcohol.

Tongbas are made especially from millets. Preparation of Tongba consumes lot of days. Its preparation starts with completely cleaning of the millets. After cleaning it is cooked just like rice. It is then sprayed to became warm and yeast is sprayed over it when it cools. It is then taken in an airtight container especially a polyethylene bag is preferred. It is then kept for a month. After a month wait it is served in bamboo container and seeped with a pipe.

So, whenever you visit this place fell the taste of Tongba.
